2008 Budget pro-poor, says Academic

Dr. Sukhdev Shah says that Budget 2008 is not anti-poor (contrary to comments by ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase) and is the “best budget we can have under the situations.”

    It is the best budget we have ever had under the sun.

    It is not anti-poor, sheds light and hope in the hearts of the poorest.

    and promotes economic recovery.
